Meet our newest team... Tammy Edgar and her K9 Buddy Jake. This picture does not do justice to k-9 Jake's "tiger" markings which, we are told, are a big hit with the people he visits. The Edgars adopted this lovable guy from a shelter and immediately recognized his potential for therapy dog work. We welcome them to our group of caring people and wonderful dogs. Thank you Tammy, for sharing Jake with others.

Listed below are some good good websites that sell a multitude of items for your dog. Many folks have e-mailed us to share their experiences with these organizations and we only list those that got very favorable ratings.

This company sells many brands of dog foods including Taste of the Wild and the Zuke's brand treats. Arrival on your doorstep is usually 2-3 days after ordering.

Loacated in California, this company has the best prices available for prescription and non prescription drugs for your dog. Priority mail gets your meds to you in 3 days and these folks have much better prices than 800 PetMeds which is not really a bargain anyway. Their customer service department is excellent and they will do all they can to expedite your meds. Their low prices are especially important when your dog has to take expensive medications (like Rymadil or Vetoryl) for extended periods. They also sell generic equivilents, when available.

We just recieved an email from an Iraq war veteran who was seriously wounded during her second tour of duty. It seems she sustained a head injury that required multiple surgeries and considerable rehabilitation. During her lenghty stay in the hospital, she was visited by therapy dogs and their handlers. She wanted us to know just how important these visits were to her and says the visits "made her day". Now she wants to return the favor by visiting others with her dogs so she was inquiring about getting her two dogs, and herself, certified.

We thought we would mention this because all of you should know just how much your visits mean to so many people. When we say "all of you" we mean not just the handlers and dogs, but also those of you who promote and run these programs in your various facilities. Without you and your enlightened thinking, we could not do our thing.

Every once in awhile, it's good to hesitate for a moment to consider, and realize, the importance of what you do for others. Cudos to all!
